Budapest Cemetery Road Name Change

Budapest Cemetery Road finally has the name it deserves.

The Haralson County Chamber of Commerce Tourism Team has successfully petitioned County officials to change the name of Landfill Road to Budapest Cemetery Road. This project has been in the works for over 2 years and is just one of the ways the team is paying homage to the brave emigrants who came to this county to start a new enterprise. The next step is getting the cemetery listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  That project is in the works as well. The team would like to thank all county officials, team members and individuals who made this project a success!

        

 

You can view the Budapest Cemetery gravesites on Budapest Cemetery Rd just off Hwy 78 west toward Tallapoosa. The Cemetery is soon to be listed on the National Historic Registry.
