Launch Site: Poplar Springs

This launch site is located off of Poplar Springs Road in Tallapoosa, GA. The average float time between Poplar Springs and GA Hwy 100 is 2 to 3 hours.

The Tallapoosa River is the main source of water for the citizens of Haralson County.  There is a small obstruction located downstream from this launch at the Hwy 100 bridge but there is a portage around for safe paddling.   As you travel south approaching the obstruction please stay to the left side of the river for the portage.

From downtown Tallapoosa, go north on Hwy 100 through town approximately 5 miles to Pope Rd.Turn right and travel ¼ mile to Poplar Springs Road.Turn right. Launch site is approximately 1 mile on the left before you cross the bridge.

Launch Site: GA Hwy 100

This launch site is located off of GA Hwy 100 in Tallapoosa, GA. The average float time between GA Hwy 100 and Broad Street is 2 to 3 hours.

​Directions from downtown, head north on Hwy 100 approximately 2 miles. Water Works launch site is on the right.  Take an immediate left in front of gate down to the river.

Launch Site: Broad Street

This launch site is located off of Broad Road in Tallapoosa, GA. The average float time between Broad Street and Lazy River Rentals is 3 hours.

Check with Lazy River before docking.  A docking fee may apply.

From downtown, head north on Hwy 100 approximately 1 mile.  Broad Street is on the left.  Travel 2 miles to the Tallapoosa River.  Plenty of parking available
