HARALSON COUNTY GEOCACHING
Geocaching is a treasure hunting game where you use a GPS to hide and seek containers (called "geocaches" or "caches") anywhere in the world with other participants in the activity. Haralson County has over 200 caches! It's the perfect way to explore the outdoors with your friends and family.
A typical cache is a small waterproof container (usually a tupperware container or ammo box) containing a logbook. Larger containers can also contain items for trading, usually toys or trinkets of little value. Geocaching is most often described as a "game of high-tech hide and seek," sharing many aspects with benchmarking, trig-pointing, orienteering, treasure-hunting, letter boxing, and way marking.
